Strong high pressure is fixed north of the Islands. This arrangement is expected to persist at least through the middle of next week, producing strong NE-ENE Trades. The wind direction is forecast to become slightly more easterly by Sunday, which would help conditions a little.
With all this strong wind action, seas are in the 10ft zone over open waters so exposed shores get that mess coming ashore through the period.

HIGH SURF ADVISORY FOR THE NORTH AND WEST SHORES THROUGH TUESDAY AS THE PRIMARY BUOYS INDICATE.
SUNSET BEACH AND THE PIPELINE ARE 10-12 FEET PLUS WITH POOR/FAIR CONDITIONS/BUILDING. THIS SWELL WILL PEAK TONIGHT AT 13 PLUS FEET. THE OUTER REEFS ARE FIRING FOR TOW-INS WITH PRETTY CLEAN CONDITIONS THIS AFTERNOON. MAKAHA, 4-8 FEET TODAY ON DA WEST SIDE AND GOOD.

HIGH PRESSURE NORTH OF THE STATE WILL KEEP THE TRADES FRESH THROUGH THE WEEK WITH SMALL CRAFT ADVISORY IN PLACE. A NEW NORTH WEST SWELL IS SET FOR A BIG MONDAY MORNING OF SURF IN THE TRIPLE OVERHEAD RANGE. I SEE ANOTHER SMALL BOOSTER SHOT ON THURSDAY FOR THE COUNTRY. THE WEST WILL BE THE BEST FOR THE PERFECT OFF SHORE CONDITIONS AND VERY CLEAN SURF ON THE WAIANAE COASTLINE.
